 Three items to consider when using Twitter

1. Make sure your profile picture is something that accurately represents your or your business.  People will associate this picture with you so make sure it is something that is relevant.


2. Make your tweets consistent and relevant.  Like your website content, your tweets should be consistent with the message that is inline with your business.


3. Watch you you follow.  You can't control who follows you on Twitter, but you can control who you follow.  Don't be quick to automatically follow people.  Check out their profile, their tweets and their website or blog.  Is their message consistent?  Do their tweets look like something of value to you?  If so, you may want to follow them, if not, don't.  The last thing to you want to see in your Twitter stream is a bunch of unwanted tweets filled with nonsense.
