My QR Code Campaign Sucked!

Learn how to create a QR Code marketing campaign that works So you tried implementing a marketing campaign using QR Codes and it didn't go well.  That doesn't mean that they do not work, it means that there are some areas of opportunity that you have discovered.
QR Code marketing campaigns, when properly implemented, work very well!  They allow you measure interactions in new ways and allow you to reach a growing mobile audience.





Before you begin using QR Codes, please do not make the common mistake of assuming that just because you placed a QR code on your business card, flyer, poster, etc. that everyone who sees it is going to scan it.  That is like saying that just because you have a web site address on your business card, or other collateral material that
everyone who sees it will visit it.  If you want to implement a successful QR Code marketing campaign here are a few tips to get started.



Tips for a Successful QR Code Marketing Campaign

  • Incentive - Give your audience a reason or incentive for scanning the QR Code
  • Educate Your Audience  - Display text on your ad that says something like, "Scan with your mobile device for more information."  You can also introduce QR Codes on your website our blog with a quick article that explains how and why you will be using them.
  • Placement - Place the QR Code on the product or advertisement in a location that is easy
  • Track and measure - What's the purpose of implementing a QR Code campaign if you don't track and measure your the results?  I have created a QR Code Marketing Campaign Template that will help you to get started.

 Remember, if you are using QR Codes to promote your website, producs, etc. your audience will be on their mobile device so make sure your content is either mobile or Responsive so that it is easily accessible to them.
